I struggled with photography and its place in my life. Although I liked the images I made, I didn’t pick up a camera for many years after I took my first pictures. When I started shooting motion picture film, I felt completely at ease and eventually eased back into still work.

The pursuit now is to make a new path in photography that looks for new ways of appreciating the technical aspects of digital work, some with a nod to other art forms. Form that doesn’t rely on prototypes of the past.

The images here are single digital exposures shot in New Orleans that I work with to get what you see.

The prints are matte ink on cotton rag paper. Mostly 20” x 36”.
